Kamakura

After eating at the famous fish market again- We took a day trip to Kamakura where the 2nd largest Buddha statue in Japan is. It was under an hour on the bullet train. There were tons of zen gardens, shrines, temples, mountains and beaches there. And beautiful flowers!! We wandered to the beach which was one of the dirtiest beaches I've ever seen. I read something that said to keep in mind that not too long ago They discovered tons of dismembered heads buried in the sand from a long time ago there- so we didn't sit in the sand long. We paid and got in a line that we found in the mountains thinking it led to the Buddha but after over an hour we realized it led through a garden- Japanese people lovvvvve flowers! It was beautiful though. Tokyo is famous for its themed restaurants so for dinner we went to Alice in Wonderland themed restaurant- it was good and a nice change of pace. No English whatsoever so we got talked at a lot every time the waitresses (who were dressed as characters) would come in with different props. The table was interesting we were in a tiny room with just us and the walls decorated like the Cheshire cat and all of the food fit the theme too. We had to ring a bell every time we wanted the waitress. We haven't seen ANY Americans here- very unlike anywhere else that you travel.
